Fleetwood Mac Receive Rock’s Highest Honor, And Celebrate With “Say You Love Me”

Hot on the heels of their 1997 breakup and reunion a year later, Fleetwood Mac received rock’s highest honor when they were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in early 1998. To mark the occasion, the Rumours era lineup took the stage that night for a performance of ‘Say You Love Me’ that left the audience marveling at the fact that they sounded even better then than when they appeared on the scene 20 years prior.

This was to be one of Christine McVie’s final appearances with Fleetwood Mac before her 10 year retirement from the band, and unsurprisingly, it’s one of her best! She’s got a quiet command of the stage, with everyone else following her lead – and if Lindsey Buckingham’s banjo solo doesn’t get you, then the band’s rock solid harmonies definitely will.
