This was mesmerizing!
Eric Johnson might be one of the most overlooked guitarists of all time. If you think about it, he often gets swept under the rug, and is hardly mentioned among names like Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix.
Back in 1984, Johnson treated an audience to an intimate, raw acoustic set that was absolutley enchanting. During this set, Johnson resurrected his classic tune “Song For Life,” the all instrumental hit, and the crowd was amazed. Clapton’s picking skill is top notch and hypnotizing. Honestly, this live rendition is insanely mesmerizing and one of the best that we’ve ever heard!
Fun Fact: Best known for his electric guitar skills, Johnson is also a highly proficient acoustic, lap steel, resonator, and bass guitarist, as well as an accomplished pianist and vocalist.
