Eddie Money Passes Away At Age 70

Sad news comes today as Eddie Money has passed away at the age of 70 due to complications of a recent heart valve procedure. Money was known for big hits such as “Baby Hold On” and “Take Me Home Tonight” and “Two Tickets To Paradise” through the 70’s and 80’s. It’s no secret that he had been struggling with health issues such as cancer in the esophagus and was even had to take a break from touring for numerous health problems.

His family announced:
“The Money family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning,” his family said in a statement to PEOPLE. “It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.”
