David Crosby, Joe Walsh And More To Perform At Fundraiser

A Virtual Fundraising Event
On May 28, Thursday at 8 p.m. ET., democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is throwing out the “Rock Out on a Night In” fundraiser. Hosted by Whoopi Goldberg and Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth, it will feature “virtual conversations and performances” from David Crosby, Sheryl Crow, Joe Walsh, Rufus Wainwright and Jimmy Buffett.
Tickets for the streaming event range from $250 for a “guest” slot to $100,000 for a co-chair.
Wainwright wrote on social media, “I met Joe Biden years ago at the first LGBTQ reception since the Clinton administration hosted by Obama at the White House. It was an incredibly moving event. I met a lesbian couple who were in tears. They said all their lives they have been protesting outside of the White House and now they were invited in.”
He added, “I was impressed with Joe Biden’s sincerity, energy, enthusiasm and embrace of the LGBTQ community. It is now an honor to support his campaign by singing at a virtual fundraiser for his campaign tomorrow.”
Another virtual fundraising event for Biden will be held on June 11 at 8 p.m. ET called “A Fabulous Evening With Vice President Joe Biden” and it will be hosted by Barbra Streisand and John Legend.
