Happy Birthday John!

Today, October 9, 2015, would mark beloved John Lennon’s 75th birthday on this Earth.

John was a beacon of peace, hope and change in a time that drastically needed inspiration and leadership, whether the world knew it or not.

Unfortunately there were those that did not agree with John’s dreams and decided to put an end to his lovely life on December 8, 1980. It was a day that this world will forever look upon with sorrow and regret, but the least we can do is celebrate his life and the beautiful music he created for us.

“Because of all my foolish pride, well, if I could thank you, thank you for saving my soul with your true love.”

These beautiful words were written as a piece of John’s last ever taped session, titled “You Saved My Life (With Your Love) ” just weeks before the assassination (that you can listen to below.)

Interesting Fact: Thousands of people gathered in Central Park’s East Meadow on the 6th as Yoko Ono led an attempt to create the largest-ever human peace sign in commemoration of what would have been John Lennon’s 75th birthday.

As we mourn the loss of this beautiful soul, we remind ourselves to celebrate this hopeful being and all the joy he has brought into our lives.

Happy 65th Birthday John, we miss you every day.
