Never Before Seen!
Renowned fashion and celebrity photographer Clive Arrowsmith shared previously unseen candid and playful images of Paul McCartney which were taken using his Hasselblad camera. The photographs will appear on The Royal Photographic Society Journal’s special musical version. One photo gives a closer insight into Paul’s relationship and special bond with his first wife Linda who later died after a long battle with breast cancer.
Another picture which was taken during the Off The Ground photo shoot showed Paul and Linda goofing around with Wings bandmates. And yes, they wore fake beards and quirky costumes too!
The last photograph was shot during the Speed of Sound session taken in 1976. Using a background screen of clouds and sky, Sir Paul seems to be doing a bungee jump. Of course he does so while holding a guitar.
According to Arrowsmith:
“They really capture the seminal moments of the shoot when it all came together. The fun we were all having, plus Paul and Linda’s closeness, it’s the naturalness of the pictures that is the key to their success.”
