Bruce Springsteen fans, get ready — the highly anticipated biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere is officially set to hit theaters on October 24. The film, starring The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White as the Boss himself, focuses on a pivotal moment in Springsteen’s career: the making of his raw and haunting 1982 album Nebraska.
A Look Behind the Music
The film dives deep into Springsteen’s life during a time when he stripped everything down to its most emotional and honest form. Directed by Scott Cooper — best known for Crazy Heart, Black Mass, and The Pale Blue Eye — the project promises to capture both the grit and heart that defined Nebraska.
“Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska has profoundly shaped my artistic vision,” Cooper said. “The album’s raw, unvarnished portrayal of life’s trials and resilience resonates deeply with me.”
The Cast Brings the Story to Life
In addition to Jeremy Allen White taking on the role of Springsteen, Jeremy Strong (Succession) stars as Springsteen’s longtime manager, Jon Landau. Strong is just as enthusiastic about the experience as fans are.
“I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a person’s body of work or their legacy in a way that uplifted me more or filled me with a sense of life and hope and love more than Bruce Springsteen,” Strong told Variety. “Jeremy [Allen White]’s work is incredible. Bruce is on set a lot. We’re all kind of working on it together. It’s a real collaboration.”
The Boss Approves
Springsteen himself is fully behind White’s casting, giving the actor his blessing after seeing his performance on The Bear. “I only had to see him on The Bear, and I knew he was the right guy,” Springsteen told The Telegraph, “because he had that interior life – but he also had a little swagger.”
With its October release date and an all-star cast and crew, Deliver Me From Nowhere is shaping up to be a must-watch for music fans this fall.
