Young Krisia sings Oh! Darlin’ and it might be the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen

As the story goes, Paul came to the studio early every day for a week to sing, because his voice was too clear. He wanted it to sound strained, like he had been performing it all week.

It seems as if there had been a bit of vocal rivelry going on through-out the recording process of, “Oh! Darlin“. Hard rock vocals had been Johns thing, and it seemed as if Paul was pushing himself to compete.

Lennon resented that Paul didn’t let him sing lead vocals. He felt it was more his style, but since McCartney wrote it, it was his decision. In a Playboy interview, John specifically stated that he could have done it better.

All in all- we are glad McCartney laid down the vocal for this Beatles tune. I can’t imagine it any other way.

This ten year old absolutely nails this performance. Her voice is so big for such a little girl!
