A very special shoutout goes to the parents of the kids in this video who have raised their children on The Beatles – the most influential band to ever walk the earth! What I love about this video is that the kids’ appreciation for The Beatles goes far, far beyond just seeing a shirt at Hot Topic and liking one or two songs. No – these kids got genuinely excited when they saw their favorite Beatle or heard a snippet of their favorite Beatles song!
Fun Fact: Ringo Starr is by far the favorite Beatle of nearly every child interviewed!
By far, the part that gave me chills and made me genuinely smile was when the interviewer asked the kids if they thought that boy band One Direction was replacing The Beatles. The answer? “No! The Beatles are classic. They’re irreplaceable – I don’t know how people can even begin to compare them!”
