The LP Will Have “New Stuff”
Heart’s Ann Wilson was very productive during the pandemic. Although she felt isolated at her home in Florida, her creativity flourished and she found inspiration in pretty much everything.
“I have 10 songs ready for a studio album,” she told UCR in a new interview. “At this point, I’m just trying to figure out a title for it and we’re trying to find a home for it. It’s not going to be like any record that’s out there already. It’s like a one of a kind deal. So we’re looking for a place for it where people really get it and we’re trying to put it out first quarter of ‘22.”
Earlier last month, Wilson released a live EP titled “Howlen Live” with her solo band THE AMAZING DAWGS, which featured Tom Bukovac on lead guitar, Tony Lucido on bass, Paul Moak on guitar and keyboards, and Sean Lane on drums.
“None of the stuff on the EP is going to be on the album,” she explained. “It’s all new stuff. It’s all new original songs, except for three, I think. There are three covers on it. There’s “Bridge of Sighs,” “Missionary Man” and “Love of my Life.” The others are originals.”
Meanwhile, Wilson recently shared a pro-shot video of her performance on August 21 at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater.
