In November, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that Conan O’Brien would host the 2025 Academy Awards. Conan has hosted the Emmy Awards twice before, so he is accustomed to hosting, but this will be his first time hosting the esteemed event.

Oscars Hosts Through the Years

Jimmy Kimmel, who hosted the Oscars in 2017, 2018, and 2023, did it for the fourth time last year. But he declined when asked to host again in 2025, saying in April that he may reconsider if it meant “spiteeing” President-elect Donald Trump, who had previously panned Kimmel’s performance.
