Is there such thing as a “bad” Rush song?
Yes, we know. The headline of this is quite eye-opening, and believe us, when we heard that Alex Lifeson actually named what he feels are the WORST Rush songs. It’s hard to believe that an amazing band like Rush has terrible songs. They are easily one of the most talented bands in music history. The lyrics, the music and arrangement are masterful!
However, like with all bands, there are a few songs some members regret writing and releasing. In a recent interview, Lifeson opened up about two songs in particular that he wishes Rush never released in the first place.
“Tai Shan’ is one of the worst, easily, and ‘Panacea.’ It was an attempt at something that didn’t really work out. It was … innocent.”– Lifeson said.
Well, there you have it. The two songs that Rush regrets putting out. Thankfully, it’s two songs that are deepcuts, rather than a hit song like ‘Tom Sawyer,” “2112” or “Fly By Night.” In the interview, Lifeson also talked about doing ecstasy, and revealed that he loves listening to Tool and Nine Inch Nails while he’s high! Keep on rockin’, Alex!
Even though Rush might not like the song, check out “Panacea” down below!
