You Probably Have No Idea About These Facts

Aerosmith had their fair share of highs and lows – from dominating rock ‘n roll and becoming household names to almost losing the career they worked hard for then rising back up again. And now, almost five decades later, they’re not just rocking out, they’re still selling out shows in their Las Vegas residency.

It just goes to show that Aerosmith is one of the most loved bands in rock ‘n roll, you can’t say the same for others. Steven Tyler went country, Joe Perry toured around with a different band, and yet they’re back together and people can’t get enough of them.

But even if you’ve been a huge fan since day 1, chances are, there are still some things you may not know about them. Check out these little known facts:

5. They appeared in the 1978 comedy film Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band as the Future Villain Band (FVB).

Contrary to the love and appreciation Beatles’ epic album received, the movie was a huge flop. Nevertheless, we got to see several appearances by other musicians so at least there’s that.

4. Aerosmith is the first band to appear on The Simpsons.

According to Steven Tyler, “We were elated because it’s a you-know-you’ve-made-it-when moment. You’re this lowlife rock-and-roll band … a rock band that’s throwing parties for twenty thousand people a night, and then you see yourself on television on the biggest cartoon of its time.”

3. Joe Perry released Joe Perry’s Rock Your World Hot Sauces back in 2002.

This hot sauce was used for the quesadillas served in Hard Rock Cafe restaurants. This isn’t the first time Perry tried his hand at culinary because before Aerosmith was formed, Tyler already loved the French fries Perry made as a chef at The Anchorage restaurant.

2. They were also the first group to have a Guitar Hero dedicated to them and their work.

Interestingly, they earned more from the sales of this game than from any of their albums.

1. While Jennifer Aniston was still with Brad Pitt, she had a huge crush on Steven Tyler.

In an interview in 2001, she said, “Steven Tyler, I have to say – I don’t know how old the man is, but he’s phenomenal, that energy. He is the one person that Brad said I can have if the opportunity presents itself. He said ‘You can have that one.'”
