Elton Speaks the truth!
Next year, the legendary Elton John will celebrate his 70th birthday. The celebration has rung in some pretty exciting, but also alarming rumors. Earlier this year, fans were devastated to hear that Elton was reportedly retiring next year, to coincide with his 70th birthday. But Elton has finally spoken, and flipped the script on his fans!
Elton opened up recently, and revealed, via his Instagram account, that he is in fact NOT retiring! Elton John is actually planning something big for the celebration of his upcoming birthday!
“Don’t believe what you read in the papers today. There is no truth to the rumours that I am planning to retire. In fact, I am looking forward to celebrating 50 years of collaborating with my partner-in-song, Bernie Taupin, next year.”– Elton wrote.
Eventually, Elton plans to retire from music, and focus full-time on his AIDS foundation, and raising his son with his husband David. Hopefully we see some epic performances from Elton in the future!
