Avery Closes 2015 Out With A Bang

Rush’s Neil Peart may be taking a step back from tour life to focus on his health and family, but if Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are looking for someone to step in for a few shows, we know just who to call: Avery Molek! At 9 years old, Avery’s proven to be quite a formidable force behind his drum kit, easily tackling some of the most iconic, intricate, and painstakingly difficult drum parts ever written by Peart and in honor of a wildly successful year where we saw him grow both as a person and drummer, Avery just released his final video of 2015 – the ultra fitting ‘Working Man’ by Rush.

Even going so far as to sport a Rush t-shirt, Avery has a great time as he effortlessly makes his way through yet another Rush masterpiece. Don’t let the song’s simplicity fool you though; the fact that Avery’s able to recreate a seemingly simple drum part written by the master himself speaks volumes as to his immense skill despite his young age!

Fun Fact: To date, Avery has released 199 videos and has amassed over 50 million views worldwide!

If this is the way Avery is closing out 2015, then we can’t wait to see what he’s going to kick off 2016 with – but we have a feeling that it’s going to be something absolutely incredible.

Happy new year, Avery!
