He’s Pretty Pissed
In an interview on Trunk Nation in November, Wolfgang Van Halen explained that he will “absolutely not” play Van Halen songs with his new band Mammoth WVH because he wanted it to be “different.”
And now, Wolfgang didn’t mince words on social media when someone told him to pay tribute to his father. A Facebook user commented on Wolfgang’s page, “Wolfie, I like your stuff. I just think the time to honor Dad is now. Youโve already shown you can stand on your own!”

To which, Wolfgang replied with: “I honor my dad by existing and doing what I do everyday. Iโm not f**kinโ playing โPanamaโ for you guys.”
He then posted a screenshot on Twitter and captioned it with, “Yโall are never gonna f**kin stop are ya.”
“Iโm gonna cover the Bowie/Jagger version of โDancing in the Streetโ just to piss yโall off,” he added.

“*Plays in band with Dad* โThat spoiled brat is just riding his daddyโs coattailsโ *Plays in own band without covering VH* โYo, why isnโt he riding his daddyโs coattails??โ” he noted in the same thread.
He even considered putting that particular comment on a t-shirt: “Lol, I should get a shirt that says โIโm not f**kinโ playing Panama for you guys.โ”
After missing out on some shows because a member of his team tested positive for Covid-19, Mammoth WVH are back on tour providing support for Guns N’ Roses through October 3.
