Joe Perry and the Joe Perry Project recently kicked off their tour for a few April shows.

The Aerosmith guitarist launched the six-show tour in Mashantucket, Connecticut, on April 15. Followed by stops in Boston, New York City, two Chicago suburbs (Des Plaines and St. Charles), and Los Angeles before wrapping up the trek on April 26.

The 2023 Joe Perry Project features lead vocalist Gary Cherone of Extreme, keyboardist and vocalist Buck Johnson of Aerosmith, seasoned drummer Jason Sutter (Cher, Chris Cornell), and bassist David Hull, a longtime collaborator of Perry.

Perry’s upcoming record, Sweetzerland Manifesto MKII, will be released on May 26, the follow-up to the first Sweetzerland Manifesto released back in 2018.

Speaking about the rare chance to promote his solo albums, Perry said in an interview:

“I never really got a chance to push them, to get out and do proper tours, except for maybe those four years when I was away from Aerosmith. After that, I would just do them, and once in awhile, I’d get to play one of them with the band. I think ‘Shakin’ My Cage,’ we played it with Aerosmith. It’s just fun writing music for the sake of it and then being able to go back with your gang.”
