Have you ever wondered how Paul McCartney writes songs? More than a legendary musician, he’s also a prolific songwriter. And as mere mortals, we can’t help but be amazed at the sheer brilliance he has shown over and over again with his musical masterpieces. And honestly, if there was an eight-hour documentary about him doing nothing but writing, we’d watch it.

Last September 2018, Macca was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and he talked about his whole writing process. Not surprisingly, he admits that when he’s in a foul mood, writing songs always made him feel better.

“It’s a great thing to do. It’s like a therapy for yourself. So if you’re feeling bad you can go off somewhere with a guitar and you can start telling your troubles with the guitar, and work out your problem.” – Paul McCartney

Jimmy Fallon, of course, wanted to test this out so he basically did everything to rile up Macca. Was he successful? Maybe, because the former Beatle ended up writing an impromptu angry song about the host.

It’s impossible not to love him!
