A well-known rock band from the 1980s is giving fans a fresh look at a past show while also asking for help with future plans. As Foreigner marks its 50th anniversary, the group is reaching out to listeners and inviting them to take part in shaping upcoming tour stops.

The band shared the update through its Urgent Update fan newsletter and social media pages. Along with the news, members posted a video message and a newly released live clip, giving fans both a memory from the stage and a chance to influence what happens next.

Fans Help Guide Tour Plans

In a video posted on Instagram, bassist Jeff Pilson spoke directly to fans about tour ideas. The band has often received requests from people asking them to visit certain cities, and now they want that feedback in a more organized way.

“Hey folks, Jeff Pilsen of Foreigner here,” said the bassist. “You know, we get messages from people all the time asking us to play different cities. Well, we’d like your input. What city would you like to see Foreigner play in? If you click the link in the bio below, tell us what city you’re in, and we might just be headed your way. See you soon.”

Unseen Live Performance Released

At the same time, Foreigner unveiled a seven-minute live performance of its 1981 No. 1 hit “Urgent.” The video was filmed at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on October 24, 2025, during last year’s tour. It had not been shared before and is now available on the band’s social platforms.

In the Urgent Update email, the group reflected on the moment. “It’s always an absolute honor to perform for you, and being able to look back and see that moment captured makes it even more special,” the band wrote, adding that they hope fans enjoy the performance as much as they did.

Reactions From the Audience

Fans quickly responded in the comments, sharing memories and praise. “It was an amazingly magical night. Good to carry on the beautiful music ❤️,” one fan wrote. Another commented, “And suddenly, it’s 1981 again. ✊👍👋.”

Others spoke about the current lineup and the band’s long history. “Foreigner, the great band in the 1970’s and up the originals, but nice to see Foreigner continue with new band members! Still sound really good, keep it up guys!” one fan shared. Another added simply, “I was there. I loved this ❤️.”
