Beautiful

Several musicians have been reaching out to their fans and helping ease their anxiety all thanks to the internet and social media. For Carole King, her at-home performances are nothing short of magical. She previously shared two classics “So Far Away” and “Now and Forever.” For her third video, she sings the chorus to “Sweet Seasons” from her 1971 album “Music.”

Before launching into the track, she said: “The original lyric was written by Toni Stern, and I’ve adapted it for 2020.” She then proceeded to modify the lyrics a bit and sang: “I’m talkin’ ’bout sweet seasons on my mind/Sure does appeal to me/Wish we could get there easily/Just like the sailboat sailing on the sea/I’m hoping for sweet seasons.”

King wrote “Sweet Seasons” with Toni Stern. It peaked at #9 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and it was also a hit in Canada and Australia.

In her “So Far Away” performance, she told her fans: “I just want to say that I hope you and your family are well and that you all stay well. I wish the same for all the medical professionals that are doing such important and difficult work. And also to thank all the people who keep the groceries coming and the trash being picked up. There are so many things that I don’t know about, but I’m not taking it for granted, none of it.”
