Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil was injured during a solo gig at the Monsters on the Mountain festival in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He fell from the stage while performing on Friday night. Neil was one of the headlining acts of the three-day event.

The rocker didn’t notice the small gap with a four-foot drop between the speaker and the stage as they played “Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)”. His band finished the set but Neil couldn’t continue performing after the incident. He wanted to, but was advised against it. He was immediately rushed to the hospital. Fan-shot footage of the concert showed Neil suddenly disappearing from view.

“The truth is Vince fell and broke ribs when he fell,” his bass player Dana Strum told the crowd. “He can’t breathe and he’s gonna get dealt with medically.”

Mötley Crüe posted an update via their social media accounts. The band shared that Neil was “back home and resting after breaking a few ribs on Friday night.”

Earlier this year, Neil cut to cut short his set at the Boone Iowa River Valley Festival when his voice gave out as he sang Mötley Crüe’s “Girls, Girls, Girls”. Mötley Crüe is set to kick off their highly anticipated stadium tour next year.
