He’s Not Closing Any Doors
Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French spoke about a possible Twisted Sister reunion on the Chuck Schute Podcast. The band broke up in 2016 following the death of drummer A.J. Pero.
“We used to say it would never happen. I will no longer say that,” the axeslinger said. “We came back in 2003 for basically a two year reunion, which lasted 14 years. And it lasted longer than the original band lasted with AJ.”
“It was an incredible ride,” he continued. “And when we walked offstage, I personally just said, ‘that’s it for me.’ But who knows?”
Twisted Sister’s last studio album was 2006’s “A Twisted Christmas”, and they had shows in the 1990s and 2000s.
Meanwhile, Jay Jay French is set to release his own memoir on September 21 titled “Twisted Business: Lessons From My Life in Rock ’N’ Roll.” Co-written by Steve Farber, price starts at $26.99.
According to the description, this book “is an unexpected, inspiring, whirlwind story of transformation and redemption.” It also “follows French’s adventure-filled life—from growing up in New York City in the sixties, to working as a drug dealer and struggling as an addict before quitting cold-turkey, and finally, to creating and cultivating Twisted Sister and turning it into one of the most successful brands in the world.”
