Well Then

The trio of Toyah, King Crimson founding member Robert Fripp and guitarist Sidney Jake are back with another fun and entertaining cover. This time, they took on Steppenwolf’s classic biker anthem “Born to be Wild” and true to its title, their live version is wild and well, pretty wet too.

We’ve all experienced plumbing problems at some point and even famous musicians aren’t immune to it. So during the latest Sunday Lunch performance with Toyah on an exercise bike, a pipe suddenly burst above her head and showered her with water. And what’s worse, it turned Toyah’s outfit see-through.

But these are professional artists, people. So they powered through despite the setbacks because, the show must go on. Oh and be sure to keep watching because they’re promising “a surprise at the end” and no, we won’t spoil it for you.

The couple launched this video series last year and they have since covered songs from a variety of other rockers like Guns N’ Roses, David Bowie, Metallica, Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, Judas Priest, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper, and many more. They try to spice things up by adding surprises like having Toyah dress up and wear costumes. They also now have Sunday Lunch t-shirts.
