If You Have Money To Spare

Tom Petty’s Encino mansion is back on the market for $4,995,000. Built on almost one acre of land and with 11,500 sq.ft. of living space, the late rocker’s former home has six beds, six full baths, and two half-baths. This gated estate was originally built in 1989.

Petty’s original recording studio was transformed into a wine cellar, gym, massage room, a creative work space, spacious kitchen, vocal booth, den, and guest suite. The exterior area boasts of an outdoor cabana/bar, a firepit, and an al fresco dining room off the kitchen in case you enjoy entertaining guests. And that’s not all. There’s also a cascading waterfall which flows into the pool and spa. Talk about extra.

The three-story home has changed ownership several times and also underwent a couple of renovations “including updating of the color palette and introducing modern finishes, while still maintaining the original integrity and unique style.”

It has a private driveway and more than the peace and quiet, the mansion offers spectacular views too. You can check out the rest of the photos on the listing here. It’s being handled by Jade Mills Estates.

In September, it was reported that Petty’s ex-wife, Jane Benyo Petty, bought his childhood home in Gainesville, Florida for $175,000. She said that the house didn’t look the same “but I thought we should have it in the family.”
