Life Imitating Art?

If you’re anything like us, last year’s box office hit Mad Max: Fury Road had your attention the second you saw that guy rocking a flame throwing guitar. Luckily, this killer moment in cinematic history isn’t just for the big screen anymore as one man has figured out how to craft his very own flame throwing guitar and y’all, the result is every bit as hot as you would imagine!

DIY whiz kid Colin Furze had his work cut out for him when he set out to build a fully functional, flame throwing guitar from scratch – mounting blow torch heads, building his own manifold to regulate the guitar’s main and pilot flames, right down to the pipes that route the flames. The entire project took several weeks, but the hard work was well worth it when Colin and his buddy successfully tested the guitar (and a bass guitar with built in smoke effects) out, allowing Colin to then live out his own Mad Max: Fury Road dreams by playing his new flame throwing axe from the comfort of his roof.

I’m sure that we don’t have to remind you that this is incredibly dangerous and that you probably shouldn’t try this at home, so check it out in the video below and live vicariously through a man who did the impossible!
