This Beautiful Acoustic Cover Of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” By The Talented Gardiner Sisters Is Bone Chilling

Why Stevie Would Be Proud
To see a single child or teen perform a song definitely takes talent, however, it is quite a rare treat to come across three sisters that are able to give you goosebumps and want to clap at the screen. In this video you will find Hailie, Mandi, and Allie Gardiner performing the lovely and heartbreaking song “Landslide”, by our one and only Stevie Nicks.
Many fans can sense that this was a very sentimental song for Stevie about the complexities of a father- daughter relationship. In 1974, under her father’s lax ultimatum of six months to start a music career or head back to school, Stevie recorded this song inspired by a beautiful house in Aspen, overlooking the snowed hills and vast, powdered ridges. She thought to herself, “what if this hill just collapsed and all the snow came plunging down around me?”
“I climb a mountain and turn around, and if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills, will the landslide bring you down?”
She was asked to join Fleetwood Mac just 3 months later, beating the “ultimatum” with three months to spare. Stevie’s father was a large inspiration in her life with his constant love and support for her to follow her dreams, whether they involved school or not.
“Well, I’ve been afraid of changing, ’cause I’ve built my life around you. But, time makes you bolder, even children get older.”
Playing off of the family aspect that this song represents with soft and touching harmonies, this breathtaking video will be the best thing you watch all day. Set in a beautiful garden scene with just a guitar and beautiful melody, these Gardiner sisters execute the wide variety of ranges in this challenging tune with ease and grace. Watch and enjoy!
+ Landslide Lyrics +
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Till the landslide brought me downOh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?Well, I’ve been afraid of changing
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m getting older tooWell, I’ve been afraid of changing
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m getting older too
Oh, I’m getting older tooI take my love, take it down
I climb a mountain and turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Will the landslide bring you down
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Will the landslide bring you down, oh, oh
The landslide bring you down
