The Rolling Stones thrilled fans worldwide earlier today with the highly-anticipated reveal of their new album, “Hackney Diamonds,” during a live interview with Jimmy Fallon. The event, which took place at 9:30 a.m. EST, was streamed on the band’s official YouTube channel.

The live stream, originating from Hackney, London, featured Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ron Wood in conversation with Jimmy Fallon, discussing the new album, fresh music, and a new era for the legendary rock band.

Fans had the opportunity to submit questions in advance, and the band addressed some of these during the livestream.

“Hackney Diamonds” marks The Rolling Stones’ first release of new material in nearly two decades, following their 2005 album “A Bigger Bang.” It’s also a significant milestone as it’s their first album without the presence of drummer Charlie Watts, who sadly passed away in 2021.

In a statement, the band expressed their excitement for this global moment, saying:

“Hackney may be at the heart of ‘Hackney Diamonds,’ but this is a truly global moment we want to share with fans around the world via YouTube.”

The band has taken several intriguing steps to build anticipation for the album’s release, including placing an advertisement in the Hackney Gazette, sharing cryptic messages on social media, and displaying countdown clocks on their websites.

Moreover, there are exciting collaborations rumored for “Hackney Diamonds,” including former Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, as well as former Stones bassist Bill Wyman, who reportedly rejoined the band in the studio.

The tracklist, comprising 12 songs credited to Richards and Jagger along with producer Andrew Watt, adds to the intrigue surrounding this album. Fans can’t wait to get their hands on “Hackney Diamonds” and experience the new musical chapter from these rock legends.
