This Girl Shreds!

After spending the last few years watching French teen guitar prodigy Tina S. lay waste to everything in her path, tackling everything from Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” to Eddie Van Halen’s “Eruption” solo, it’s pretty hard to imagine there being another musician of her caliber out there  – that is, until we came across Laura6100.

She’s not a robot, don’t worry! Based out of Riga, Latvia, Laura’s making a name for herself with her own brand of blistering, lightning fast guitar work, featured this week by the Trans-Siberian March Band with her take on Vivaldi’s Summer and armed with her purple Ibanez guitar, blasts through this classical piece and transforms it into heavy metal goodness, complete with tapping and fascinating grip changes that’ll make you say, “Wow”.

Not much is known about Laura at this time, other than the fact that she absolutely rocks and is something of a celebrity in Eastern Europe for her guitar work. As with her French counterpart Tina S., Laura’s got an uncanny way of making this stuff look impossibly easy – check it out in the video below and see for yourself!
