Rolling Stones To Release New Studio Album!

The last time they released a studio album was more than ten years ago but it looks like they’re currently working on something new to offer to us — aside from the incredible live performances recently including the free two-hour concert in Cuba which is one for the books by the way.

Late last year, Keith Richards teased fans by saying the boys had “definite plans to record”. Now, it looks like its starting to come to fruition.

Here’s What They’re Saying:

“We went in to cut some new songs, which we did,” 68-year old guitarist Ronnie Wood told The Associated Press, “But we got on a blues streak. We cut 11 blues in two days.” He added, “They are extremely great cover versions of Howlin’ Wolf and Little Walter, among other blues people. But they really sound authentic.”

Keith Richards went on to tell BBC 6 Music,“We’re actually in the studio in the moment cutting new stuff.”

Although Keith also confirmed that the new material in the works gives a nod to their blues-y roots, both Rolling Stones members did not divulge any other details. We know it’s slated to be released before this year ends and that the band’s currently quite busy in the studio but other than that, Keith said his “lips are sealed.”

We wouldn’t really mind a little surprise coming along especially since we can feel that they all seem to be very excited, passionate and enthusiastic about this album. Now that’s dedication!
