Excited Yet?
Roger Waters’ Us + Them Tour wrapped up last December 9, 2018 in Monterrey, Mexico but it seems like he has another treat for his fans. The Pink Floyd bassist recently announced that the concert film, which was shot during a four-night stop in June 2018 at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, will be out in cinemas on October 2 and 6 this year.
He teamed up with longtime collaborator and videographer Sean Evans – the same guy behind Waters’ 2014 The Wall tour movie.
The extensive tour began on May 21, 2017 and for over a year, Waters visited United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and a few Europe and Latin America countries. He played 157 shows in front of 2 million screaming fans. When he announced it in mid-October 2016, he said:
“We are going to take a new show on the road, the content is very secret. It’ll be a mixture of stuff from my long career, stuff from my years with Pink Floyd, some new things. Probably 75% of it will be old material and 25% will be new, but it will be all connected by a general theme. It will be a cool show, I promise you. It’ll be spectacular like all my shows have been.”
The concerts featured Pink Floyd albums like Wish You Were Here, The Dark Side of the Moon, The Animals, and The Wall. The repertoire also included songs from his latest solo album Is This The Life We Really Want? As expected, his shows showcased stunning visuals and lasers. So if you missed out on watching, the concert film was able to capture such spectacular production.
Tickets will go on sale this July 17.
