Rod Stewart Reunites With Faces For The FIRST Time In 40 Years

The last time anyone saw Rod Stewart perform with the Faces, it was 1975 and Rod was well on his way to megastardom. Decades would pass before he even thought about rejoining his former bandmates, and while we had several near misses, it took 40 years for a Faces reunion featuring Rod Stewart to actually happen – and it finally did!
For the first time in 40 years, Rod joined surviving Faces Kenney Jones and Ron Wood for a one off performance consisting of 7 of the Faces’ biggest hits, including ‘Stay With Me’. While the guys admitted that they only had a short time to prepare, we have to disagree; they delivered a powerhouse performance that was unbelievably fun and made us forget that it had been 40 years since they’d been onstage together.
Fun Fact: The Faces’ performance was part of a benefit concert for Prostate Cancer U.K., with all proceeds going towards finding a cure for prostate cancer.
In fact, it felt like they hadn’t been apart for more than 40 minutes, much less 40 years!
