It’s Reportedly In The Works

Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant is reportedly teaming up again with Alison Krauss and prepping a new album. In the recent episode of Everyone Loves Guitar podcast, Greg Leisz talked about new material the pair has been working on. Leisz previously played the steel guitar on the 2007 Grammy-award winning album Raising Sand.

“I actually just recently heard a song from the upcoming record,” he revealed. “[Plant] is doing another record with – has done another record – with Alison Krauss and I heard a track from it the other day.”

He said the title is “Searching For My Baby” and it’s “incredible.”

“When you hear that, it’s going to blow your mind,” he added. “It’s fantastic.”

In a 2017 interview with The Guardian, Plant had nothing but praises for Krauss. The highly successful collaboration began after Plant came from a pub and heard Krauss singing on the radio in his car. He immediately wrote her name down and reached out to her.

“I was basically tutored by Alison,” he admitted. “She’s a very precise singer who’s done more duets than you can shake a stick at, and I was thinking: help, I’m a rock singer, no matter what I do.”
