Based off the hit book of the same name, ‘The Dirt’ is a passion project of director Jeff Tremaine that has been 12 years in the making. The film has finally wrapped production and will be released exclusively on Netflix on March 22 next year. The film is set to be a 100% accurate biopic detailing the many trials and tribulations of legendary rock band Motley Crue.
In fact, Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil has already seen the film and it’s got his seal of approval. He recently broke the news of the official release date and gave the film his unbridled praise in a tweet.
The film features a star-studded cast helmed by an acclaimed director. Here is the full line-up…
Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars

Douglass Booth as Nikki Sixx

Daniel Webber as Vince Neil

Machine Gun Kelly as Tommy Lee

Additionally other major roles have been cast in the film. Actor Tony Cavalero is set to portray Ozzy Osbourne, actress Rebekah Graf will portray Tommy Lee’s ex-wife Heather Locklear, and David Costabile will portray the band’s former manager Doc McGhee.
What do you think of the casting choices? Do you think these actors will do a good job? And are you as excited to see this film as we are? If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s definitely the season for rock biopics and they don’t seem to disappoint!
