A new feel to Paul’s music!
The anticipation for Paul McCartney’s brand new upcoming release is as high as ever! Paul is getting set to release his compilation of demos from his 1989 release Flowers In The Dirt. The reissue will include a full remastering of the songs, original cuts of songs, and will even include unreleased material,
Leading up to the release, McCartney has been teasing us with new releases from the upcoming remaster, and today, he dropped a brand new, unreleased demo called “Distractions.” The song comes directly off of Paul’s eighth solo album, and is a track that we’ve never heard before! It’s a classic love song that has sort of a bluesy, jazzy feel to it! It’s definitely a different step for Sir Paul.
“A romantic ideal! I know that a young couple won’t hear this about me and Linda, the guy will hear it about him and his girlfriend, the girl will hear that it’s about her and her boyfriend, and I like that. I like that about my songs, that people use them for their own purpose. And I think that’s a very romantic idea.”– McCartney said.
