In the most recent episode of SiriusXM’s Ozzy Talks, Ozzy Osbourne sat down with his co-host, Billy Morrison, wherein he discussed the most recent exaggerated news about him.

Looking back, Osbourne previously announced his retirement from touring to fans due to his medical state. Over the years, his fans have seen him undergo a series of medical operations and diagnostic tests.

Although Osbourne stated that he was retiring from touring, media outlets seemed to misinterpret it and even exaggerated the story. There are reports that he was completely leaving the music industry and Osbourne recently clarified this and said that he had to abandon the idea of going on tour while still being able to perform, but he isn’t calling it quits as a musician and isn’t nearing death as music is the only thing that keeps him going.

Talking about his retirement, Osbourne stated:

“This f*cking press could drive you nuts. I mean, I looked in a magazine the other day, and ‘Ozzy’s on his last legs.’ I’m f*cking not dying. Come on, and guys haven’t had it bad enough already. If I get the okay today, if the doctor said to me today, ‘Oh, you can tour.’ It would take another six months to get it to go, you know?

“You’ve got no idea. You’ve got no idea what I feel like a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest. The only thing I’ve got that keeps me going is making records, but I can’t do that forever. I have to get out there, you know?”

Osbourne also clarified that if only he had obtained a green light from his physicians, he would have been back on stage for his fans and done the tour he had to postpone multiple times. He is obviously not in a position to take on such a significant commitment at this time, but he is undoubtedly still interested in performing and recording music.
