Ozzy Osbourne Reveals His Upcoming Surgery Will Be His Last Regardless of the Outcome
Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has declared that his upcoming surgery will be his final one, regardless of the outcome, citing his inability to endure any more time under the surgeon’s knife.
The iconic Black Sabbath frontman has undergone a series of surgeries in recent years due to various accidents and health issues, which have made walking a challenging task for him.
These health setbacks led to the cancellation of his farewell tour and a hoped-for performance at the Power Trip festival earlier this year.
In the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, the 74-year-old artist stated:
“Tomorrow I have my final surgery on my neck… [and] it is going to be the final surgery because I can’t do it anymore. Regardless of the way it ends up after tomorrow, it’s it. I’m not doing it anymore. I can’t.”
With a touch of humor, Ozzy remarked on his extensive surgical history, likening it to a routine haircut. He also described the challenges he faces, saying:
“My feet feel like I’ve got bricks tied to them when I’m walking. I walked upstairs today and downstairs for the first time in a while, and my feet feel like I’ve got diving boots on… I think it’s the nerves.”

Despite his health struggles, Ozzy Osbourne remains defiant and determined.
He believes his condition has improved, emphasizing that he is far from being on his “last legs,” a phrase often used in paparazzi shots that portray him unsteadily.
“I was thinking, ‘Maybe I just need to get up off my ass and walk around the block a few times. It’s ‘Ozzy’s on his last legs’ – I’m far from being on my last legs.”
Ozzy and his wife Sharon’s planned return to their native England is still on hold until doctors grant him permission to travel. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, their daughter Kelly expressed the family’s sadness about the Power Trip festival cancellation, explaining that Ozzy longs to give his fans one more show. She noted that his voice is still strong and that he won’t perform if he can’t deliver what his fans deserve.
She said:
“We can’t talk about it in the house because it is just so heartbreaking to see that all he wants is just one more show.”
“He could do it right now if he sat in a chair because the voice is there; there’s nothing wrong with the voice. … He said that if he can’t give his fans what they paid to see, he won’t do it. (https://tjc.org) There is nobody [who] loves their friends as much as Dad does.”
