It Wasn’t Easy…

As the Black Sabbath farewell tour dwindles down to its last few shows (okay, that’s a bit exaggerated — they still have until next year), Ozzy Osbourne looks back to their early days as a band. Well, they didn’t achieve overnight success that’s for sure. And during his interview with Billboard, he shared some of the bumps along the road their now-legendary heavy metal group has experienced:

“We started off as four guys from Aston who had a dream, and it became true beyond our wildest dreams,” Osbourne told Billboard. “And then we were manipulated, we were ripped off, we were conned, all of the above. We lost each other within each other, if you like. But it’s great to have got this back just to end on a high note.”

And he goes on to answer questions on his post-Black Sabbath plans. Will he release a solo album? Or will the band continue for a few extra shows? Ozzy laid it all down:

“Tony Iommi wants to do 80 shows. We’re doing 80 shows. It’s good enough. I wouldn’t mind extending the tour for another few gigs. There’s a lot of people who won’t get to see us, but I don’t think it’s going to happen,” said Osbourne. “Right now I’m okay with it. I’m sure as it starts counting down to five shows left or something, it’s gonna be kind of emotional, I think.”

We’re still hoping they’d extend it!
