He Says “I Am Not Focused on Playing.”
Aside from his appearance on Farm Aid back in September 2019, Neil Young hasn’t been seen performing live. So far for 2020, he has announced a concert movie and the release of his 1975 legendary LP “Homegrown” on April. But regarding any tours, it seems like he won’t be back on the road this year.
After a fan asked him about his 2020 schedule in the Letters To The Editor section, he responded on his Neil Young Archives website with: “Don’t expect anything. I am not focused on playing. I am taking care of my music.”
Except for a gig at the Greek Theater in L.A. for the Light Up the Blues autism benefit with Stephen Stills on May 30, he has no other scheduled live performance or concert. Instead, he’s focusing on a plethora of archival albums which might be out this year – release date and other information are yet to be announced.
Another fan asked him if he will consider reuniting with Crosby, Stills, and Nash (even though he’s not on the best terms with David Crosby) and setting “aside our differences for the common good” in the election season, Young replied: “For the common good! Anything is possible.”
