Nile Rodgers Mysteriously Hospitalized, Forcing Him to Miss Chic Show For The First Time Ever

Keeping Nile in our thoughts and prayers!

Over the weekend legendary disco guitarist and member of Chic, Nile Rodgers, was hospitalized for a mysterious reason. The hospitalization took place on Sunday, and unfortunately forced Rodgers to cancel his appearance with Chic, who are currently on tour with Earth, Wind and Fire.

Unfortunately, the hospitalization broke a huge streak in Chic’s history. In the band’s 40 year history, Rodgers had never missed a show. Fans were understanding, and wished well wishes to Rodgers on Twitter. The guitarist took to Twitter himself to express his sorrow to the fans who were at the show, and apologized for missing it.

It’s still unclear on why Rodgers was hospitalized. So far, he’s expected to make the band’s next show on August 15th. 6 years ago, Rodgers was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, but beat it and is living a cancer-free life.
