Nikki Sixx Says Fame Has Left Him “Locked and Loaded” Against Stalkers

Nikki Sixx has made it clear that protecting his family outweighs any expectations of public access, even from longtime fans. The Mötley Crüe bassist recently addressed why he no longer posts photos of his youngest daughter, Ruby, responding candidly to a question from a fan on X.

“Because we’ve been stalked and our family has been threatened multiple times the last few years,” Sixx wrote. “Some are in jail now but Ruby doesn’t need to be exposed to millions of people.”

Sixx acknowledged that the vast majority of fans are respectful, but emphasized that past experiences have fundamentally changed how he approaches sharing personal moments online. “She’s more important to us than posting photos and from experience, it’s proven to not be safe for her. She deserves better,” he added.

A History of Stalking and Escalating Threats

The rocker further explained that keeping his six-year-old daughter off social media is not about secrecy, but safety. He described the decision as a way of “protecting her from mentally ill people,” underscoring the seriousness of the threats his family has endured.

Sixx is no stranger to such dangers. In 2023, he revealed that he was dealing with multiple stalkers simultaneously, including what he described as a “deranged woman from Tennessee” who allegedly threatened bodily harm to him and his family. At the same time, another stalker from a different part of the country was reportedly harassing and issuing threats. Both cases escalated to the point of FBI involvement, with legal action taken against the individuals involved.

“Nothing in My Life Matters More Than My Family”

When another follower suggested that law enforcement should always handle such situations, Sixx confirmed that he maintains strong relationships with authorities in his community. However, he also made it clear that he is prepared to defend his family himself if necessary.

“We also live in Wyoming on private property and we are locked and loaded and know our rights to protect our family,” Sixx wrote. “Nothing in my life matters more than my family.”

While the comments were stark, they reflect a broader reality faced by high-profile artists whose personal lives can attract unwanted and dangerous attention.
