Triumph Expands Reunion Tour With New Dates
Triumph have expanded plans for their long-anticipated reunion, adding new dates to The Rock and Roll Machine Reloaded 2026 tour, which commemorates the band’s 50th anniversary. The trek is scheduled to begin in April and run through June, marking one of the most significant chapters in the Canadian rock legends’ long history.
The band has added a second night in Boston at Leader Bank Pavilion, with tickets already on sale. In Chicago, Triumph will move their previously announced show from the Rosemont Theatre to the larger Allstate Arena, reflecting increased demand. Tickets for the expanded Chicago date go on sale at 10 a.m. CT on Wednesday, Jan. 7. April Wine will serve as support throughout the tour, with a full list of cities, venues, and dates available below.
A Rare Reunion Decades in the Making
Although Triumph were inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame earlier this year, the original lineup—guitarist and vocalist Rik Emmett, drummer and vocalist Gil Moore, and bassist Mike Levine—have not performed together since two shows at Sweden Rock Festival in 2008. Prior to that, the band last toured in support of 1992’s Edge of Excess, with Phil X stepping in after Emmett departed in 1988 to pursue a solo career.
Reflecting on the reunion, Moore emphasized that a single event did not spark it. “It’s serendipity. There’s no one specific thing [that made this reunion happen],” he told Ultimate Classic Rock’s Matt Wardlaw. “I would say it’s the rising tide of fans reflecting on how songs that Triumph played affected them in their life. The more time goes by, the more of these stories you hear and the more compelling they are, or in some cases, heart-wrenching. And so there’s that cumulative effect that we’re experiencing.”
Looking Ahead to the Road
Triumph’s touring lineup will once again include Phil X, now a regular member of Bon Jovi, alongside bassist and vocalist Todd Kerns and drummer Brent Fitz, both known for their work with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. Together, the group aims to honor Triumph’s legacy while delivering a powerful live experience that reflects the band’s enduring influence.
Fans received an early glimpse of what this reunion could mean during a special appearance in June, when Triumph performed three songs before Game 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs in Edmonton, though without Levine. While brief, the performance served as a poignant reminder of the band’s enduring presence and emotional connection with their audiences. As the 2026 tour approaches, expectations are high—not just for nostalgia, but for a celebration of Triumph’s music as a living force, still capable of uniting generations of rock fans half a century after the band first emerged.
