Can’t Wait

Nikki Sixx, Rob Zombie, John 5, Tommy Clufetos have teamed up to form a new supergroup called the L.A. Rats. They’re set to release a new single on May 21, Friday. They recently recorded their version of Geoff Mack’s 1959 classic hit “I’ve Been Everywhere” as part of the soundtrack of the Netflix action thriller “The Ice Road” starring Liam Neeson.

The film’s soundtrack will debut on June 25 via Big Machine Records. Big Machine Label Group founder and chairman Scott Borchetta said, “That hard-charging sense of the road is a real common ground between rock, country and Americana.”

All the members posted the same L.A. Rats logo on their social media accounts and captioned simply, “5.21”. Sixx previously tweeted that he’s in L.A. to “record a few new tracks, drop something new this week and finish my book.” Although at the time, he didn’t give any more details on who he was recording with.

John 5 and Nikki Sixx have collaborated a couple of times in the past and they’re also close friends. The former once said in an interview, “We love each other. He has inspired me and taught me so much about life in general.” John 5 also called Sixx “one of the most inspiring people.”
