Something Uplifting

With the coronavirus pandemic forcing everyone to stay at home, some rockstars still find ways to stay productive even while quarantining and practicing social distancing. As for German rock act Scorpions, they’ve been keeping themselves busy by working on new music. And they just released a surprise single to the delight of the fans.

Titled “Sign of Hope,” it’s an uplifting ballad that’s kind of exactly what people need to hear in these challenging times.

The band wrote, “We are working on lot’s of hard’n’heavy rockers for our new album these days. Because of the dramatic COVID-19 pandemic, we want to give you a little Sign of Hope that came straight from the heart in troubled times. Stay healthy and safe. We love you.”

Scorpions’ next album is tentatively slated for release in 2021 – a follow-up to 2015’s Return to Forever. Frontman Klaus Meine recently told the fansite Scorpions News, “I’m looking forward to [going] back to normal life, hopefully we all can go back to our world, can go back to our daily and normal life. That’s what’s the most important thing, I guess, for all of us right now. The whole world goes through very difficult times, it’s very scary and frightening. We have a very privileged situation that at least we can be at home and can work in our own studios and keep things going, you know.”
