Neil Young is now streaming the song “Interstate” from the recently released expanded reissue of his 1990 album Crazy Horse, titled Ragged Glory.
This new edition, now called Ragged Glory (Smell The Horse), includes four additional tracks: “Don’t Spook The Horse,” “Box Car,” “Born To Run,” and “Interstate.”
“Interstate” is a significant addition to Young’s discography. It was previously released twice: first as a vinyl bonus track on the 1996 album Broken Arrow, and later as the B-side on the CD single for “Big Time.”
Now, “Interstate” can be enjoyed as a bonus track on Ragged Glory (Smell The Horse) and as part of Young’s new box set package, Official Release Series Volume 5. This box set includes the albums Freedom (1989), Weld (1991), Arc (1991), and Ragged Glory (Smell The Horse).
The box set is available as a vinyl edition containing nine LPs for the original four albums and a CD edition with six CDs for the four releases. As with all the reissues in this series, the albums have been remastered using the best available source. Ragged Glory, for example, was remastered from the original analog tape.
This marks the first time the four albums in the series have been remastered specifically for vinyl. Additionally, the CD version of Ragged Glory has also been remastered. Both the vinyl and CD box sets are numbered, and the LPs are pressed on high-quality 180-gram vinyl. The vinyl box set comes in a telescoping box, while the CDs are housed in a slipcase.
Fans can purchase both the vinyl and CD versions from the Greedy Hand Store at Neil Young Archives (NYA) and other music retailers. The Neil Young Archives and the majority of DSPs will provide high-resolution digital audio for download. When fans make a purchase from the Greedy Hand Store, they will receive free high-resolution digital audio downloads from the Xstream Store at NYA.
