The Stadium Tour, which features Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett, Motley Crue is still ongoing and it recently received a lot of attention, particularly lead singer Vince Neil, who was spotted using a teleprompter to remember song lyrics during their July 5 show in St. Louis.

There are some people who find the use of a teleprompter to be such a musical sin. While other rock icons have been using it, such as Judas Priest and Guns N’ Roses. Negative criticisms of Neil’s teleprompter use garnered reactions from the rock and metal community. Disturbed’s David Draiman posted on Twitter:

“All you parasitic vultures pretending to be journalists who broke the ‘big story’ that Vince Neil/@MotleyCrue uses a teleprompter onstage should really find another line of work. SO FUCKING WHAT? Most artists with extensive catalogs do. Leave the guy alone FFS.”

While, Shinedown’s Zach Meyers said on Twitter:

“Slow news day?”

And lastly, Stray From The Path’s Craig Reynolds jokingly said:

“my brothers in christ do you know what metalcore is doing with laptops?”

With all that being said, Motley Crue continues their Stadium Tour with the rest of the rock acts. Watch the fan-filmed video and see the remaining dates below.
