Motley Crue vs. Mick Mars

Motley Crue has replied to Mick Mars’ legal action against them, stating that they consider it “unfortunate and completely off-base.” Mars, the original guitarist who retired from touring in October last year, accused the band of intentionally keeping him in the dark about their joint business ventures and attempting to pressure him into an unjust financial deal.

Motley Crue’s lawyer responded by citing a contract signed by Mars and the other band members a few years earlier.

The attorney for Motley Crue mentioned that in 2008, Mick had voted for and signed an agreement that clearly stated that any band member who resigns would not be entitled to receive any funds related to live performances, such as tours. Mick publicly resigned from the band after their last tour. Although the band did not owe him any money, and Mick himself owed the band millions in unpaid advances, the band offered him a generous compensation package as a tribute to his contribution to the band.

The representatives of Motley Crue then put the blame on Mick’s advisors, saying that they had manipulated him into filing this lawsuit.

Part of Mick Mars’ legal action alleged that Motley Crue used pre-recorded tracks during their 2022 Stadium Tour. However, the band strongly denied this accusation.

According to Motley Crue’s representatives, the band always performs their songs live. However, during the last tour, Mick struggled to recall chords, played incorrect songs, and made numerous mistakes, leading to his departure from the band. The crew who worked with the band during the tour have provided multiple statements supporting this decline. The band attempted to shield him, kept these issues private to respect Mick’s legacy, and took the high road. However, Mick decided to file this lawsuit and criticize the band. Despite this, the band empathizes with Mick, wishes him well, and hopes that he receives better guidance from his advisors, who appear to be motivated by greed.

This is a developing story.
