A Trippy Tribute

Many people think that psychedelic rock has completely died out, and is no longer a thing. Well, they’re wrong. Psychedelic rock is very much alive today, but it all depends on where you look for it. Bands like The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala and MGMT have been parading the tradition of psychedelic rock around for almost a decade, and their music is pretty rad!

MGMT took to the stage on Jimmy Fallon’s late night talk show (before the Tonight Show) and capped off a memorable appearance with an amazing cover of Pink Floyd’s cover of “Lucifer Sam,” a cut off of their debut album The Piper at the Gates of Dawm. You can definitely hear the Pink Floyd influence in MGMT’s style and vibe, as they cover this song to perfection! It’s the perfect song from them, and any Pink Floyd fan will for sure enjoy this one!
