Some Old School Music!
We all look forward to the annual Record Store Day. But what makes this year different from the rest is Metallica — the event’s Ambassadors. They took over and performed an old-school set at the Rasputin Music in Berkeley, CA. San Francisco is bassist Cliff Burton’s hometown. During the band’s first Record Store Day back in 2008, they also had an in-store appearance at the Mountain View, CA store of Rasputin Music.
The setlist contains hits from their first two albums — Kill ‘Em All (1983) and Ride the Lightning (1984). Both are also getting reissued boxset editions.
The tracks they played included the following:
- Helpless
- Hit the Lights
- The Four Horsemen
- Ride the Lightning
- Fade to Black
- Jump in the Fire
- For Whom the Bell Tolls
- Creeping Death
- Metal Militia
We’re all jealous of this lucky crowd!
