Matthew Perry’s Autopsy Completed and Toxicology Report Pending – New Details

Although the autopsy has been completed, a toxicology report for the death of Matthew Perry is yet to be released.

Last Saturday, the Friends actor, Matthew Perry shocked the world with his sudden death. Many people were shocked and saddened by the news and expressed their dismay through social media, including his co-actors.

As per reports, the actor was found drowning in a hot tub in his home in Los Angeles. The authorities did and are still doing a thorough investigation to check if his death involved foul play. Although the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the autopsy for the 54-year-old actor, they stated that results are pending a toxicology report, which can take weeks to finish.

The LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division which handles the investigation for Perry’s death stated that “foul play is not suspected at this time.” They also refused to comment on what may have been recovered from the scene, advising the public that the investigation is still ongoing.

Shannen Doherty, one of Perry’s costars, reflected on their “lifetime of friendship” through social media. Gwyneth Paltrow, on the other hand, shared an intimate story of a “magical summer” she and Perry spent together in the past.

Meanwhile, Marta Kauffman, David Crane, and Kevin Bright, the creators of Friends, shared a joint statement. For the trio, the death of Perry is still impossible. The statement added:

“All we can say is that we feel blessed to have had him as part of our lives. He was a brilliant talent. It’s a cliche to say that an actor makes a role their own, but in Matthew’s case, there are no truer words. From the day we first heard him embody the role of Chandler Bing, there was no one else for us.”
