So tranquil, and relaxing!

“Hey You” is the opening track to side 3 of Pink Floyd’s The Wall. The song details the moments of the rock opera where the main character, Pink, realizes his mistake of shunning society, and attempts to reconnect with the outside world. It’s an emotional, hard-hitting song, and remains as one of the album’s bright spots! Now, imagine that song being transformed into a relaxing, ballad-like tune that’s mellowed out. It may sound weird at first, but trust us when we say that it gives the original a run for its money!

YouTuber Jamie Dupuis took this rock opera, stripped it down, and performed an incredible, ballad-like rendition of it on the harp guitar! The harp guitar adds a unique effect to the song that the original doesn’t. It tends to drag the bass out a little more which naturally slows the tempo down a bit, and gives it a more relaxing vibe! It essentially turns the song into something you would hear at a spa. It’s truly beautiful, and we can guarantee the members of Pink Floyd would all be proud!

We’ve shared some of Jamie’s work before, most notably his cover of Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb.” He’s truly an incredible musician, and it’s definitely worth checking out his other material if you enjoy this video!
